I've had a lot of questions lately on what to wear to a family shoot. People tend to lean towards the old white shirt and jeans, or all black or the white and khaki combo. Gone are the days of boring! Burst out with some originality and some color! This doesnt mean you have to go out and create a new wardrobe spending a lot of money for your upcoming shoot. Get in your closet and match your family! Similar colors that work well together look the best! Most of all you want everyone comfortable! Also think of this- if you are going to be making a "photo gallery" to hang in your home, what colors would look nice on your walls? here are a few examples! (click on image for larger view)

Summer Specials

JLR is now offering two Summer options! No session fee- two hours of shoot time, for up to four people, a complete edited disk with a full copyright release so that you may print freely! You will receive anywhere between 75-175+ photos on the disk for a low price of $100!! You will be able to split your payment in half if necessary, $50 due at the time of the shoot and the rest when the disk is complete!

Our other option is a very low session fee of $20 ($15 savings) once editing is complete you would be able to order prints or disks after viewing your proofs!

I had the opportunity to photograph Jenna yesterday afternoon. I had such a fabulous time! Its nice to photograph a girl for once! For 2010 seniors I am offering up to two hours of shooting, multiple outfit changes, with a discounted sitting fee of $30. I will also be discounting the full resolution DVD, suitable for printing, $150 value for $75. For any print orders, you will receive a free 8x10 of your choice. I will be running a Christmas Special from November until the end of December. My sitting fee will be 1/2 off starting November 1st, that's $25 for up to four people! This is an excellent time to get those family portraits done a well as individual shots to give to family members as gifts! I have a huge selection of keepsakes, ornaments, brag books, calendars, mouse pads, coffee cups etc that make excellent Christmas gifts for those that are hard to shop for! Please feel free to email me on any item, price or question you may have at jlrphotography@aol.com. I will also have Christmas cards for this season. Cards will start at $1 for two images per card as well as the decorative card itself, $1.25 for 3 images and add an additional .25 for vertical shots. I will take up to 5 shots for you to choose from with a sitting fee of only $15 . Mileage still applies for shoots outside of the Monroe County area, as well as shipping and packaging prices. I will not charge extra for more than 4 people, up to 6, anything over 6 people, the standard $10 per person will apply.

Summer Special

Most of you know that I am getting ready to have a baby at the beginning of August, so I am just running this from the first of June through July. The package is - $85, includes your sitting fee, around two hundred shots taken (before edit) you can change outfits twice as well as immediate location twice. This is for four people only. Anything over four and its $10 per person. The mileage is the same as any other shoot, and you can find those details over to the right.You will receive an un-copyrighted disk, this means you can take this disk to any print site and have your photos printed, plus have a "memory" disk to keep at home. Usually after edit you're left with around 100-150 shots. I will still have my other packages available of course, if you prefer them. Memory books are a great idea for families that can not choose which photos they would like to print, so keep that in mind. If you have any questions please email me at jlrphotography@aol.com

Just in time to get your banquet, prom, senior and spring photos taken! Special is $30 for up to 4 people plus the cost of photos. I will take no less than 200 shots before editing, you will have a chance to have three different outfit changes and a change in location within the immediate area.
